Southwinds Active Adult Community | Southern Maryland

\n

\n

About Us:

\n

\n

The Saba Group, Inc. is a well-established real estate development, construction, and property management company headquartered in Waldorf, Maryland. We take great pride in the communities we design, develop, build, and manage throughout Southern Maryland.

\n

\n

We are currently expanding our leasing team and seeking an outgoing, motivated, and highly organized Leasing Specialist to join our team at Southwinds Active Adult Community, an upscale 55+ residential community focused on creating an exceptional living experience through quality housing, thoughtful amenities, responsive service, and a genuine sense of community. We will occassionally have our specialists rotate between our property in White Plains and Leonardtown and would love to see this person thrive in both leasing environments.

\n

\n

For candidates coming from Northern Virginia, Charles County, Saint Mary’s County or the greater Washington, DC area, Southwinds is conveniently located in Southern Maryland, approximately 35 minutes from Alexandria depending on traffic. We are offering an opportunity to build a career in property management without the traffic of working in the heart of DC.

\n

\n

The Role:

\n

\n

The Leasing Specialist is often the first impression prospective residents have of our community and serves as an important right hand to our Property Management team. We are looking for someone who is warm, professional, dependable, confident speaking with people, and motivated by both customer service and results.

\n

\n

This is much more than showing apartments. You will help guide prospective residents through the entire leasing journey, maintain relationships with active leads, support current residents, coordinate with management and maintenance, assist with community operations, and help ensure every interaction reflects the level of service our residents expect.

\n

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

\n

* Respond promptly and professionally to phone, email, online, and in-person inquiries.

\n

* Greet prospective residents and conduct engaging tours of apartments, amenities, and the community.

\n

* Maintain consistent follow-up with active and long-term prospects and help move qualified leads through the leasing process.

\n

* Clearly explain apartment availability, lease terms, community policies, amenities, and the application process.

\n

* Process rental applications, prepare lease documents, coordinate lease signings and renewals, and maintain accurate resident and prospect records.

\n

* Create and maintain resident files and ensure required paperwork and documentation are complete and accurate.

\n

* Assist Property Managers with the day-to-day operation of the community.

\n

* Support resident relations, respond to questions and concerns professionally, and help create a positive long-term resident experience.

\n

* Monitor lease renewals and assist with resident move-ins, move-outs, notices, and other leasing-related processes.

\n

* Assist with recordkeeping, reporting, rental revenue, delinquencies, late notices, and other administrative responsibilities as needed.

\n

* Coordinate with the maintenance team to help ensure apartment turnovers, work orders, move-ins, and move-outs are completed on schedule and according to company standards.

\n

* Assist with resident events, outreach initiatives, community functions, and other engagement opportunities.

\n

* Support and execute leasing and marketing strategies designed to generate leads, strengthen occupancy, and promote the community.

\n

\n

What We’re Looking For:

\n

\n

We are looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism, follow-through, and a genuine ability to connect with people. The right person is comfortable balancing sales, customer service, administrative responsibilities, and relationship building throughout the day.

\n

\n

Prior leasing, property management, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates motivation, professionalism, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

\n

\n

Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and confidence using computers, office software, property management systems, and/or CRM platforms and seeking to grow with the company.

\n

\n

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; college coursework or experience in business, real estate, hospitality, sales, or a related field is a plus.

\n

\n

Schedule:

\n

\n

This is a full-time, on-site position. Saturday availability is required. Candidates should also have reasonable flexibility for occasional community events or operational needs outside standard business hours.

\n

\n

Why Join The Saba Group?

\n

\n

This is an opportunity to join a growing, locally established company where you can have a direct impact on both the success of the property and the experience of the people who call it home. We value employees who take initiative, build relationships, solve problems, and want to grow alongside the communities we manage.

\n

\n

Compensation is commensurate with experience, knowledge, motivation, and demonstrated ability.

\n

\n

If you are a reliable team player with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the personality to make prospective and current residents feel genuinely welcome, we’d love to hear from you.
