Job Description
Informatica MDM Technical Architect
\n
\n
Location: Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Charlotte, or Atlanta | Type: Full Time | Setup: Hybrid (3 days onsite) | Experience: 7+ years | Pay: $175K-$185K
\n
\n
About the Role
\n
We're hiring an Informatica MDM Technical Architect to lead the configuration of Customer, Product, and Supplier master data on Informatica IDMC. You'll own how records match, merge, and survive, how golden records get built and maintained, and how data stewards actually work the exceptions day to day.
\n
\n
You'll join the data practice of a global AI-first technology consultancy delivering enterprise MDM programs, and there are two openings on the team. The role is hybrid, 3 days a week in a local office in one of seven metros. It sits between business stakeholders, governance leads, solution architects, and integration teams, so you'll spend as much time running workshops as you do in the platform.
\n
\n
This is a hands-on architect role. If you'd rather tune survivorship rules yourself than write a deck about them, you'll fit right in.
\n
\n
What You'll Do
\n
- \n
- Lead configuration and implementation of IDMC MDM for Customer, Product, and Supplier domains
- Configure business entities, record models, relationships, hierarchies, and reference data structures
- Design match and merge rules, scoring models, thresholds, and survivorship logic, then keep tuning them as real data comes in
- Golden record creation and upkeep, including duplicate detection, merge management, and unmerge
- Set up governance and stewardship: user security and groups, steward roles, Data Governance Officer setup, dashboards, queues, task assignment, and issue management
- Design stewardship workflows for review, exception handling, and approvals
- Define data quality and standardization rules alongside business and governance leads
- Run workshops that turn business requirements into matching, survivorship, and stewardship configuration
- Work with integration and data engineering teams on source onboarding and master data synchronization
- Support UAT, defect resolution, deployment, and production support, and mentor junior MDM analysts along the way

- Strong experience with match and merge configuration, thresholds and scoring, survivorship, golden record management, and hierarchy and relationship management
- Experience configuring stewardship processes and governance workflows
- Deep understanding of MDM concepts, governance frameworks, and data quality practice, including profiling, standardization, deduplication, and enrichment
- A history of translating business requirements into MDM configuration and operational processes

Why Join Us
\n
You'll be the configuration lead for your domains on a program where consistency across Customer, Product, and Supplier really matters, working next to integration leads and governance leaders who know the platform well. The quality of your match rules shows up directly in whether the business trusts its data.
\n
\n
If master data is your craft, this team will put it to good use.
