Job DescriptionSalary: $140,000 - $160,000

Purpose

The Quality Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining quality standards for all manufacturing processes and products. This role ensures that production meets or exceeds customer expectations, complies with regulatory requirements, and operates within the company's quality management system. The Manufacturing Quality Manager leads quality initiatives, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a quality-focused culture within the manufacturing environment.



Responsibilities

  • Oversee the resolution of daily quality issues, addressing both internal and external concerns.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective quality solutions.
  • Ensure Quality Management System (QMS) processes are documented, implemented, and monitored for effectiveness.
  • Manage site quality functions, including Corrective Actions (CAR), Returned Material Authorizations (RMA), Non-Conforming Material Review/Material Review Board (NCMR/MRB), Document Control, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls, and First Article Inspections (FAIR).
  • Collect, analyze, and monitor key quality performance indicators (KPIs) for the site.
  • Conduct research on quality standards and manage internal and external quality audits.
  • Prepare detailed error reports and develop action plans for defect resolution.
  • Participate in the hiring, training, and provide direction on quality requirements.
  • Review quotes to ensure customer quality requirements are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support quality and business objectives.



Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control techniques, and inspection methods, with experience in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO13485) and auditing.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software, with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Person per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management, Business).
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in quality management with at least 2 years in a SMT manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with auditing, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, management, interpersonal and team-building skills. Ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications such as QMS software, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
  • Knowledge of ISO-610 regulatory requirements and industry standards.



Physical Requirements

  • This role requires the ability to perform standard office tasks, including prolonged periods of sitting and computer use, as well as the ability to move within the company's facilities.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Visual acuity to perform inspections and quality checks.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent visual acuity.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. may be necessary.
  • This is a full-time, on-site role that will be performed at one of our multiple locations.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who live near one of our sites.
  • Availability to work extended hours as needed to meet business objectives and deadlines
