- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on priority, equipment, and personnel.
- Participate in objective setting and planning for the department based on departmental KPIs.
- Participate in budget preparation and administration, coordinating purchasing and documentation and monitoring departmental expenditures.
- Champion the improved reliability of all manufacturing and facility equipment through a preventative and predictive maintenance program utilizing both internal and external resources with the utilization of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as ePAC.
- Develop, implement, or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety guidelines & procedures while working to continuously promote safety throughout the plant and department.
- Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
- Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
- Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings. Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
- Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
- Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.
- Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts.
- Meet with vendors or suppliers to discuss products used in repair work.
- Calculate estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, or outside contractors.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of production and process equipment for proper operation.
- Communicate frequently with other departments regarding equipment maintenance and prioritization.
- Examine machines, structures, or facilities and examine information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
- Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
- Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations, using required equipment.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, or job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration or facility management.
- 5+ years of experience in a maintenance management role.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, Best Practices, PM’s, Predictive and Pro-Active Maintenance.
- Ability to perform intermediate to advanced math skills and choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, drawings and service manuals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and implement solutions to correct.
