Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Integration Engineer to join our team in Auburn, Massachusetts in a contract capacity. This role is ideal for a technically strong individual who can build and support data integrations, work across multiple source formats, and communicate complex processes in a clear and practical way. Responsibilities:
• Design, write, and optimize SQL statements to retrieve, update, insert, and manage data within Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Build and maintain integration processes that move and convert information across databases, flat files, spreadsheets, and other connected data sources.
• Develop and support SSIS packages and related integration workflows to ensure accurate, reliable data exchange between systems.
• Create and enhance web-based or interface components using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS where integration solutions require front-end interaction or support tools.
• Partner with business users to gather requirements, clarify process needs, and deliver training that improves adoption of integration-related workflows.
• Translate technical procedures into clear workflow documentation, user-facing articles, and written guidance for operational teams.
• Troubleshoot data flow issues, investigate inconsistencies, and implement fixes that improve system performance and data quality.
• Contribute to scripting and automation efforts using tools such as PowerShell or Python when needed to streamline recurring tasks.
• Support integration work connected to operational areas such as accounts payable and logistics by aligning technical solutions with business processes.• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, integration development, or a closely related technical role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including advanced SQL query writing and database programming.
• Practical experience with SSIS and data integration work involving structured databases, flat files, Excel files, and ODBC-connected sources.
• Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, with the ability to support development tasks tied to integration solutions.
• Solid foundational programming skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues across multiple systems and data formats.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to document workflows and explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Effective verbal communication skills for working directly with users to gather information, answer questions, and provide training.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, or technical writing is preferred.
