Job DescriptionPosition Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Machine Repair Technician to join our manufacturing maintenance team in Wyoming, MI. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial production equipment to minimize downtime and keep operations running efficiently.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, experience with manufacturing equipment, and the ability to diagnose and repair complex machinery issues in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
- Repair equipment including motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, drives, and automated systems.
- Replace worn or damaged components such as bearings, belts, chains, sensors, and cylinders.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Assist with equipment installations, machine rebuilds, and process improvements.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and machining repairs as needed.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to reduce production downtime.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous industrial maintenance or machine repair experience required.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills preferred.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
