Pay: $15.00–$18.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

We are a locally owned and growing alarm company serving the Memphis area, and we're looking for a dependable Technician Assistant to join our installation team. You'll work alongside experienced technicians installing and servicing commercial and residential:
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Burglar Alarm Systems
- Access Control Systems
- CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems
- Low Voltage Cabling
This position is ideal for someone with construction, electrical, cable, telecommunications, HVAC, or general labor experience who wants to learn a skilled trade.
What You'll Do
- Assist lead technicians with installing and servicing security and fire alarm systems.
- Pull, route, label, and terminate low-voltage cable (Cat5e, Cat6, fire alarm cable, security cable and related wiring).
- Mount cameras, card readers, motion detectors, keypads, control panels, and other devices.
- Assist with conduit installation and cable support systems.
- Help test and troubleshoot installed equipment.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites.
- Safely operate ladders, power tools, and hand tools.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable codes.
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers.
- Travel to customer locations throughout the Memphis and Mid-South area.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in construction, electrical, telecommunications, cable installation, or low-voltage systems
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Experience pulling cable or working in commercial construction
