Technical Project Manager - Power Platform and Intelligent Automation Solutions
Job Description
Job Brief: We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of intelligent automation projects leveraging Power Platform and Web Apps. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in project management, and working in agile environments with engineers and quality assurance Teams. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, UAT, QA, remediation, deployment, and post launch support of projects for our clients. You should have a deep understanding of software engineering delivery and communicating with engineers about technical trade-offs. You should have exposure to automation technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML).
Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver intelligent automation projects within defined scope, quality, time, and cost requirements.
- Technical Oversight: Develop and manage project schedules, identify risks, and clearly communicate goals to project stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Interface with product sponsors, product owners, engineering managers, engineers to estimate work efforts, define milestones, and manage resources.
- Agile Project Management: Manages and prioritizes product backlogs in partnership with product owners and technical teams, translating business requirements into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria. Leads sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery to ensure transparent progress tracking, timely releases, and alignment with business outcomes.
- Project Tracking: Monitor and report on project status regularly to ensure project deliverables are on time and within budget.
- Problem Resolution: Resolve technical and operational problems within the given project scope.
- Continuous Improvement: Functions as a subject matter expert to assess technology platforms and recommend scalable solutions that drive continuous improvement while optimizing efficiency, quality, and operational effectiveness.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, process maps, and technical specifications.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end users of automation solutions.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to established standards and methodologies, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- UAT and Testing: Leads and coordinates user acceptance testing and end-to-end testing activities, partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to validate requirements, manage defects, and ensure solutions meet quality, performance, and usability standards prior to release.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Demonstrated 7+ years of experience as a technical project/program management in an agile environment preferably in intelligent automation projects.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of Power Apps, Power Automate, PowerBI, Copilot, Web Apps, APIs, RPA, AI, ML, and other automation technologies. Familiarity with Microsoft Business Applications (SharePoint, Dynamics & Azure.)
- Web App Experience: Understanding of responsive design and how UI decisions affect the user experience
- Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies, Azure DevOps and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: PMP or PMI-ACP or other relevant certifications.
- Experience: Experience with cloud platforms and services. Knowledge about cloud and native app development. This includes the whole process, from the first line of code to publishing to the application store(s).
- Knowledge: Up-to-date with advancements in automation technology and best practices.
- Experience: Building solutions for the Financial Services industry
Nice to haves
- Experience delivering Power Platform projects that leverage Microsoft Dynamics data, Dataverse and Model View Apps
- Experience working in Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud (GCC)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Base salary range of $120,000 to $140,000, based on experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.
