Embedded Hardware and Test Systems Architect
Job Description
Job DescriptionImagine Your Day
You start the morning sketching a mixed-signal concept for a new product, translating it into schematics and embedded code. By mid-day, you’re building a LabVIEW test sequence and refining a custom fixture to validate performance. In the afternoon, you’re leading a design review, partnering with production, quality, and suppliers to close out a tricky failure analysis. You wrap up by mentoring a teammate on troubleshooting to the component level and polishing documentation for an upcoming bid proposal.
Your Impact
- Design digital, embedded, and analog circuitry and own system-level integration.
- Create embedded software and develop LabVIEW solutions for verification and production test.
- Engineer and build test fixtures; define rigorous test requirements and procedures.
- Lead design reviews and drive multi-disciplinary failure analysis to resolution.
- Coordinate large-scale, complex engineering projects from concept through delivery.
- Collaborate daily with purchasing, production, quality, and external suppliers.
- Mentor and coach engineers, elevating team practices and technical acumen.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (Master’s degree welcomed).
- Previous experience with electronics preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of analog/digital circuits, schematics, and embedded systems.
- Ability to read and write software code to support embedded and test solutions.
- Experience developing bid proposals; comfortable leading large and small projects.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems and hands-on failure analysis.
- Proficiency with 3D design tools (SolidWorks) and LAN/WAN networking technologies.
- Ability to create conceptual and preliminary designs in partnership with customers and engineering peers.
- Expertise in defining test requirements and authoring detailed test procedures.
- Proven ability to develop robust LabVIEW solutions.
- Expert troubleshooting of analog, digital, and embedded circuits/systems down to component level.
- Advanced technical writing and documentation skills.
