Assistant Project Manager — Elk River Development (80% Remote)

What You’ll Do

You’ll support the Project Manager throughout the entire construction lifecycle — from pre‐construction planning to project closeout. As stated in the document, the APM is responsible for “all aspects of the project in the construction phase from pre-construction planning through completion of the project closeout under the direction and oversight of a Project Manager”.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project coordination — Assist the PM in all phases of the project and help maintain smooth operations.
  • Problem-solving — Identify issues early and resolve them efficiently.
  • Relationship management — Maintain positive communication with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Scheduling support — Help develop and maintain the overall project schedule.
  • Document control — Manage submittal logs, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
  • Technical review — Review drawings and specifications to fully understand project scope.

Qualifications

  • Experience in federal commercial construction (preferred)
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to obtain clearance for government facilities (“Clean background – must be able to be cleared to access government facilities”)
  • Procore experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow‐through
