MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN I - 2ND SHIFT
Milwaukee, WI (Milwaukee metro) | Full-time, direct hire
Schedule: 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: $33 to $42/hour depending on experience
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
A large national industrial services company is adding a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to its Milwaukee industrial facility. You will keep high-volume processing equipment running and help build out a strong preventive maintenance program.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Repair, maintain, install and troubleshoot industrial equipment, systems and components, including steam tunnels, conveyor systems and boilers
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
- Identify and resolve safety concerns
- Handle indoor and outdoor housekeeping for the maintenance area
- Monitor maintenance inventory and supplies
- Keep accurate maintenance records
WHAT YOU NEED
- 2+ years repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or in the military
- Ability to read maintenance literature printed in English
- Ability to read blueprints
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to stand for up to 7 hours in an 8 hour shift
- High school diploma or GED
PREFERRED
- Boiler knowledge
- HVAC experience
- Welding: MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting and brazing

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Industrial production facility. Standing for most of the shift, with work around steam, boilers and moving conveyor equipment.
