Job Description
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment and performing necessary preventive maintenance and repairs. This role involves rebuilding plant and process equipment, such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and other related machinery. The Technician will also repair, rebuild, and replace hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, while understanding flow controls and demonstrating both mechanical and electrical inclinations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant and process equipment.
- Rebuild pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves, and other related equipment.
- Repair and replace hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Understand flow controls and demonstrate mechanical and electrical inclinations.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and repair services.
- Skilled in using tools like multimeter and voltmeter.
- Knowledge of industrial, food, and electronics systems.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in English reading and writing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Comfortable standing, walking, and climbing stairs for long periods.
- High level of welding, electrical, or mechanical skills is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as plant and business needs arise.
- Own tools.

Work Environment
The work schedule is a rotating shift from 6pm to 6am, with rotating days off such as Monday and Tuesday one week, Wednesday and Thursday the next, and Friday through Sunday the following week. The environment can be hot or cold depending on the area, and there is a $2.00 shift differential for working from 6pm to 6am. The second shift runs from 3pm to 11:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Las Cruces, NM.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.93 - $30.40/hr.
