Grounds Maintenance Porter

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Weekdays, early-morning/day shift
Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Job Overview
Splash Masters – Property Care is seeking a dependable and experienced Grounds Maintenance Porter to help maintain the cleanliness and exterior appearance of commercial properties throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
This is a hybrid position combining commercial property portering with landscape cleanup and grounds-maintenance duties. On regular porter days, the employee will independently service assigned commercial properties. On scheduled landscape-service days, the employee will meet and work alongside our landscape-service partner to complete property cleanups and routine grounds-maintenance work.
The ideal candidate has prior landscaping or grounds-maintenance experience, works well independently, notices small property issues, and takes pride in keeping commercial properties clean and professional.
Primary Responsibilities
Property Portering
- Pick up litter, debris, leaves, and loose trash throughout commercial properties
- Sweep sidewalks, storefront areas, curbs, parking areas, and trash-enclosure areas
- Empty exterior trash receptacles and replace liners
- Remove illegal dumping or larger debris when directed
- Clean around shopping centers, office buildings, banks, restaurants, and similar properties
- Identify graffiti, damaged fixtures, water leaks, irrigation problems, trip hazards, and other property concerns
- Take clear before-and-after photographs
- Submit service reports and communicate completed work to management
- Maintain a professional appearance while working around tenants, customers, and property-management personnel
Grounds and Landscape Cleanup
- Use blowers, rakes, shovels, brooms, weed-removal tools, and other landscaping equipment
- Remove weeds, leaves, branches, clippings, and landscape debris
- Blow sidewalks, parking-lot edges, curbs, rock areas, and landscape beds
- Assist with trimming shrubs, bushes, and groundcover
- Perform light pruning and general landscape-detail work
- Load, secure, transport, and unload green waste and work materials
- Work alongside a landscape-service partner on scheduled property routes
- Help maintain clean and organized equipment, vehicles, and trailers
- Follow assigned scopes of work and report conditions that require additional service
Required Qualifications
- Previous professional landscaping, grounds-maintenance, or commercial property-maintenance experience
- Experience safely operating commercial blowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, and basic hand tools
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Reliable transportation to the designated reporting location
- Ability to work independently and as part of a two-person crew
- Ability to follow written routes, service instructions, and property-specific scopes
- Ability to use a smartphone for photographs, navigation, timekeeping, and service reports
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to pass any required background or driving-record review
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in Las Vegas heat, cold, wind, dust, and changing weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and perform repetitive physical work throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds
- Ability to safely enter and exit work vehicles repeatedly
- Ability to operate landscaping and property-maintenance equipment for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of landscaping or commercial grounds-maintenance experience
- Experience servicing shopping centers, commercial buildings, apartment communities, or HOA properties
- Experience driving a pickup truck with a utility or landscape trailer
- Knowledge of basic irrigation-system components and the ability to identify visible irrigation problems
- Experience documenting work with before-and-after photographs
- Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are helpful but not required
Schedule
This is a full-time weekday position. Work generally begins in the early morning and may vary depending on property schedules, seasonal conditions, and service-route requirements.
Occasional schedule adjustments may be necessary for special cleanups, weather conditions, or client requests.
Compensation
- $16.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on experience
