Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Network Engineer to support and enhance our private cloud and network environment in New York, New York. In this role, you will help maintain reliable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure that supports business-critical services in a dynamic fintech setting. You will work alongside technical teams to improve operational stability, strengthen network security, and contribute to efficient day-to-day infrastructure management.

Responsibilities:
• Build, administer, and improve private cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on uptime, scalability, and operational resilience.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices to maintain strong performance across the environment.
• Apply security controls and support compliance-focused practices to reduce infrastructure risk and address vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering and application teams to deliver a dependable platform for internal systems and client-facing services.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring operational tasks and streamline infrastructure workflows.
• Investigate incidents, respond to support needs, and restore service quickly through effective technical problem-solving.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for configurations, procedures, and operational standards.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule that may include after-hours and weekend support, along with occasional travel to office or data center locations.• 2+ years of experience in network engineering, private cloud operations, or a closely related infrastructure role.
• Practical experience working with Linux and Windows server administration in production environments.
• Solid understanding of virtualization concepts and core networking principles.
• Hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP and experience with routing, switching, and general network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Cisco networking technologies, including routers and security platforms such as Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Exposure to Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and related network protocols is preferred.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Strong communication skills, a self-directed approach to learning, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
