We are a family owned and operated Property Management Firm with over 50 years of experience in the Denver Metro Area. We are committed to providing outstanding service and high quality housing options to our residents along with a supportive work environment for our employees to grow. Hans Nielsen, Inc. is looking for a full time, experienced, maintenance technician to help us take care of an approximately 100 unit apartment portfolio. We are looking for a person who has hands-on maintenance skills and great customer service and who is willing to work together on a well-functioning team.
Responsibilities:
· Respond to maintenance service requests, carrying out repairs as needed.
· Coordinate activities with the rest of the team.
· Help prepare vacant apartments for occupancy
· Maintain good appearance on each property including helping with snow removal if necessary
· Maintain building systems in good working order
· Maintain good working relationships with residents and with vendors
· Keep accurate service and billing records, including electronic records.
· Operate within Company guidelines including state and federal fair housing requirements.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience, apartment maintenance experience is preferred
· Strong customer service skills
· Skills in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as well as painting, drywall, and basic carpentry skills
· Be able to work with-in AppFolio software. We are willing to train the successful applicant on the software program.
· Must have a personal set of general tools
· Must be available for on-call emergencies on a rotating basis
· Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 pounds and push/pull up to 200 lbs.
· Must have a current driver’s license and reliable transportation to go between properties. Current auto insurance is required.
Compensation:
The normal work week is 40 hours. On-call availability is required on a rotating basis. This position’s compensation is dependent on experience, likely between $59,000 - 70,000. Benefits include performance pay, travel stipend, health insurance, and paid days off.
