As a Security Officer Armed Security Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating security-related concerns according to site protocol.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the financial institution location, including lobby areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter checkpoints, with attention to unusual activity and/or potential risks.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and/or disruptions at the location.
- Support cash handling and other sensitive operational areas through visible presence, professional communication, and timely reporting of policy violations, hazards, and/or security-related incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
- Certified Protection Officer certification is required.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- An armed guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
