Job Summary
\n
Maverick Space Systems is seeking a self-motivated full time Aerospace Hardware Technician to join our growing team in San Luis Obispo, CA. A successful candidate will have at least 1-5 years of industry experience, will enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and will have proficiency in assembly and test of critical aerospace hardware and electrical harness builds.

Responsibilities and Duties

- \n
- Assemble critical aerospace mechanical hardware, including separation mechanisms and dispensers
- Build flight critical deployment and telemetry harnessing per IPC-620 with Space Addendum
- Build EGSE harnessing for testing and internal projects – includes soldering and crimping
- Support environmental mechanical vibration testing of internal assemblies and external customer spacecraft and components
- Support electrical testing of flight harnessing
- Write, modify, and maintain build and test procedures for aerospace hardware

Required Qualifications and Skills
\n
- \n
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in mechanical and electrical assembly of flight critical aerospace hardware
- Experience presenting analysis and results to technical teams and customers
- Experience interfacing with co-workers and external customers on a daily basis
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Self-motivated, organized, humble, and willing to learn
- Willing to relocate to San Luis Obispo, CA
- US Citizenship
