Title: Senior Citrix Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Hybrid/Jersey City, NJ
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Citrix Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of enterprise-scale Citrix environments across global data centers and cloud platforms. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting Citrix Cloud and hybrid infrastructure while driving automation, platform modernization, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will act as a senior escalation point, collaborate across teams, and ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing end-user computing solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Own and support Citrix infrastructure across global data center and cloud environments
- Design, deploy, and manage Citrix Cloud services including control plane and resource locations
- Manage Citrix workloads across on-premises and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance; resolve alerts and incidents
- Implement security best practices including patching, hardening, and risk mitigation
- Define global standards, architecture patterns, and operational procedures
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and runbooks
- Implement automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices
- Design and manage Terraform modules for infrastructure deployment
- Collaborate with Architecture, Cloud, Network, Security, and Endpoint teams
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex incidents and major outages
- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices
- Work with vendors and partners on platform enhancements
- Manage infrastructure lifecycle (hardware, software, cloud services)

Experience:
- Strong experience with enterprise Citrix environments including:
- Citrix Cloud
- Delivery Controllers
- Virtual Delivery Agents (VDA / CVAD)
- Provisioning Services (PVS)
- Citrix Director
- NetScaler (Citrix ADC)
- Hands-on experience with Citrix Cloud control plane and hybrid deployments
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills (Citrix + Windows Server)
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills
- Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), load balancing, and firewalls
- Experience with identity/security integrations (Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA)
- Understanding of application packaging (MSI, App-V)
- Experience working in regulated environments (finance preferred)
- Familiarity with change management, audit, and risk frameworks
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and distributed systems
