Job Description Are you detail-oriented, comfortable working with technology, and ready for a hands-on role? We are seeking a Quality Inspection Technician to support an automotive axle-containment project in Romulus.
This is a highly physical position that combines quality verification, barcode scanning, documentation, and material handling. The project is expected to last approximately two months but may continue longer. Additional opportunities may be available for strong performers based on future business needs.

What you’ll be doing:
- Scanning 2D barcodes on automotive axles
- Verifying that the physical product and barcode information match an Excel spreadsheet and additional supporting documentation
- Identifying and reporting missing, mismatched, or inaccurate information
- Accurately recording and maintaining inspection results
- Handling and moving heavy automotive products throughout the workday
- Performing repetitive scanning, lifting, bending, reaching, and standing
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Following all safety, quality, and project-specific procedures
What you need to bring to the table:
- Previous quality inspection, containment, automotive, warehouse, or general labor experience is preferred
- Basic experience working with Microsoft Excel
- Comfort using handheld barcode scanners and reviewing documentation
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies
- Ability to safely handle heavy products and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive tasks
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently while meeting accuracy and productivity expectations
