Position Summary
PACE Systems is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong implementation experience across IT Operations Management and IT Asset Management. This individual will be responsible for building, configuring, integrating, and supporting ServiceNow solutions that improve IT operations, asset visibility, CMDB quality, workflow automation, and platform usability.
The ideal candidate has hands-on ServiceNow development experience, understands ITOM / ITAM processes, and can work closely with architects, business analysts, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality ServiceNow solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, configure, and enhance ServiceNow ITOM and ITAM solutions.
• Support implementation activities for Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB, Event Management, SAM, HAM, and related ServiceNow modules.
• Build and maintain Flow Designer automations, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, scheduled jobs, reports, dashboards, and catalog/workflow components.
• Configure integrations using REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, import sets, transform maps, and related ServiceNow integration tools.
• Support CMDB data quality, reconciliation, normalization, class modeling, and relationship mapping.
• Collaborate with architects to convert functional and technical requirements into working ServiceNow solutions.
• Participate in testing, defect resolution, deployment planning, upgrade support, and production troubleshooting.
• Follow ServiceNow development best practices to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and upgrade-safe.
• Provide technical documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams and clients.
Required Qualifications
• 6–8 years of ServiceNow development and implementation experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with ITOM and/or ITAM modules.
• Experience with ServiceNow scripting, configuration, workflow automation, and integrations.
• Knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, asset management processes, and ServiceNow data models.
• Experience working with MID Servers, integration patterns, import sets, transform maps, and API-based integrations.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex platform, data, workflow, and integration issues.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote delivery environment.
• Ability to collaborate with architects, project managers, business analysts, and client stakeholders.
Certification Requirements
• ServiceNow implementation certification required or strongly preferred.
• CMA – Certified Master Architect is ideal.
• CTA – Certified Technical Architect or CSA – Certified System Administrator acceptable.
• ServiceNow certifications in ITOM, ITAM, Discovery, Service Mapping, SAM, HAM, CMDB, or related areas are highly preferred.
Preferred Experience
• Experience implementing or supporting ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, SAM Pro, HAM Pro, or CMDB Workspace.
• Experience with JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, and ServiceNow scoped applications.
• Experience with CMDB/CSDM data models, CI relationships, asset data, reconciliation, and normalization.
• Experience working in consulting, managed services, or enterprise implementation environments.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint planning, release management, and production support.
Employment Type: Contract / Contract-to-Hire / Full-Time Equivalent Consideration
Engagement Type: 1099 through a registered B2B business or W-2 available
Rate: $110–$140/hour, depending on experience, certifications, and engagement type
