We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance across three locations. This role supervises staff responsible for maintaining and repairing our buildings, grounds, and equipment; helps ensure employees follow safety procedures; and assists with environmental monitoring and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Directs workers engaged in and/or performs:

Preventative care of equipment and machinery.

Maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on all plant production support equipment consisting of electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and industrial electrical.

Maintenance and repairs of plant building equipment such as boiler maintenance, HVAC troubleshooting and repairs, boiler repairs, etc.

Structural repairs or building remodel.

Coordinate ground maintenance activities, such as mowing lawns, trimming edges, removing weeds, and raking and disposing of leaves and refuse, snow removal with our contracted companies.

General cleaning and up keep of buildings, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and washing windows.

Assisting other departments as requested, including moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies

- Lead, supervise, train, and develop maintenance technicians and other assigned personnel.
- Transition the maintenance organization from primarily reactive maintenance toward preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Track equipment downtime, recurring failures, PM completion, maintenance backlog, and other key maintenance metrics.
- Maintain accurate equipment records, maintenance history, PM schedules, manuals, spare parts information, and other maintenance documentation.
- Requisition/order tools, equipment, repair parts, and supplies for maintenance and custodian.
- Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
- Studies maintenance schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Enforces Safety Regulations
- Conducts environmental safety training.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
- Lead safety committee conducting regular meetings with committee members.
- Perform accident investigations when required.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Support maintenance department through miscellaneous and other assigned tasks.
Requirements
- 2 years of technical college education and 2–5 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or equivalent experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- CFC certification for refrigerant recovery required when performing applicable HVAC repairs. DOT certification/training as required by assigned responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Ability to independently troubleshoot equipment problems and determine appropriate corrective actions with limited supervision.
- Experience using electrical test equipment, including digital multimeters.
- Experience reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, industrial automation, welding/fabrication, HVAC systems, and computerized maintenance systems is preferred.
