Position Overview
We are seeking 2 Project Managers with Sitework and Utility Infrastructure Experience to manage site development, underground utilities, electrical infrastructure, and civil work for data center projects. This role oversees everything from site preparation through utility installation and infrastructure development.
Ideal candidates have experience with:
- Sitework and site development
- Underground utility installations (electrical, water, sewer, gas)
- Electrical duct banks and underground distribution
- Civil construction and earthwork
- Data center or industrial site development
Key Responsibilities
Sitework & Site Development:
- Manage sitework and site development projects for data center campuses
- Oversee site preparation, grading, and earthwork
- Coordinate utility installations (electrical, water, sewer, gas, telecom)
- Manage underground electrical duct banks and vault installations
- Oversee paving, curbing, and site improvements
- Coordinate stormwater management and drainage systems
Underground Utility Infrastructure:
- Manage underground electrical distribution installations
- Oversee electrical duct bank construction
- Coordinate electrical vault and manhole installations
- Manage underground utility coordination (locate, pothole, avoid conflicts)
- Oversee trenching and excavation operations
- Coordinate with utility companies on service installations
Project Management:
- Manage sitework projects from planning through completion ($5M - $30M+)
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules
- Coordinate with civil engineers, electrical engineers, and surveyors
- Manage general contractors and subcontractors (excavation, electrical, paving)
- Track change orders and RFIs
- Ensure projects delivered on time and within budget
Coordination & Planning:
- Coordinate with multiple trades (civil, electrical, mechanical, landscaping)
- Manage excavation and utility installation sequencing
- Coordinate with municipalities on permits and inspections
- Work with surveyors on grading and layout
- Manage traffic control and site logistics
- Coordinate with building construction teams
Technical Oversight:
- Review civil and electrical drawings
- Ensure compliance with specifications and codes
- Monitor quality control and inspections
- Oversee underground electrical installations (PVC conduit, duct banks, vaults)
- Coordinate utility testing and commissioning
- Manage as-built documentation
Required Qualifications
Experience (REQUIRED):
- 5-10 years project management experience in sitework, civil construction, or utility infrastructure
- Sitework and utility infrastructure experience (REQUIRED)
- Underground utility installation experience (electrical, water, sewer)
- Underground electrical duct bank and vault experience
- Excavation and earthwork project experience
- Budget and schedule management ($5M+ projects)
Technical Knowledge:
- Sitework and civil construction
- Underground utility systems (electrical, water, sewer, gas)
- Electrical duct banks and underground distribution
- Excavation and grading operations
- Stormwater management
- Survey and layout
Skills:
- Project management (budgets, schedules, resources)
- Multi-trade coordination
- Change order and RFI management
- Municipal permitting and coordination
- Procore, MS Project, or similar software
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Equivalent experience will be considered
Preferred Qualifications
- Data center site development experience
- Civil engineering background or PE license
- PMP certification
- Experience with design-build projects
- Large-scale campus development experience
