About the Role:

The Leasing Consultant plays a pivotal role in the real estate and rental industry by serving as the primary point of contact for prospective tenants. This position is responsible for guiding potential renters through the leasing process, from initial inquiry to lease signing, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. The Leasing Consultant must effectively communicate property features, rental terms, and community benefits to match tenant needs with available units. Additionally, this role involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitor offerings to optimize leasing strategies. Ultimately, the Leasing Consultant contributes directly to occupancy rates and revenue growth by fostering strong tenant relationships and facilitating timely lease agreements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leasing, sales, or customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with diverse clientele.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with property management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate prospective tenant schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage prospective tenants, providing detailed information about available rental properties and community amenities.
  • Conduct property tours and highlight key features to showcase the value of the units and the community.
  • Assist applicants in completing rental applications, verifying information, and processing lease agreements accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of leasing activity, tenant communications, and follow-up actions using property management software.
  • Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure units are ready for occupancy and tenant concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing residents.
  • Stay informed about local rental market conditions, pricing trends, and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations.

The Leasing Consultant utilizes strong communication and interpersonal skills daily to build rapport with prospective tenants and understand their housing needs.
