The Maintenance Technician installs, services, and maintains manufacturing-related equipment throughout the facility in accordance with standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer specifications, and safety policies. This role performs a wide variety of skilled work across multiple functions within the preventive maintenance system to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and optimal performance in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance services and repairs on assigned manufacturing equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety policies.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, replace, and maintain existing mechanical systems and associated equipment, including air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, and related systems.
- Read, interpret, and accurately follow detailed operational instructions, prints, and documentation for jobs, equipment setup, and maintenance operations.
- Administer the preventive maintenance system, including scheduling, executing, and documenting preventive maintenance activities, and providing required reports.
- Determine preventive maintenance requirements for new equipment and establish maintenance procedures and schedules to support long-term equipment reliability.
- Educate and train equipment operators to perform routine maintenance tasks safely and effectively, promoting proper use and care of equipment.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and effective work area and consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment and safety gear.
- Support the facilities function as needed, assisting with facility-related maintenance tasks and equipment upkeep.
- Complete other maintenance and facility-related responsibilities as assigned to support operational needs.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, and work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and additional hours as necessary to support production and maintenance requirements.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including repair, replacement, and maintenance of production and facility equipment.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and related mechanical components used in industrial equipment.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing and facility systems.
- Basic electrical skills, including the ability to work safely with electrical components and systems related to manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from schematics, prints, and detailed operational instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical and related systems.
- Commitment to following safety policies and procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work reliably with regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, including variable schedules and extended hours.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience maintaining equipment such as air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, and cooling towers.
- Familiarity with administering preventive maintenance programs and generating maintenance reports.
- Ability to train and guide equipment operators on routine maintenance procedures.
- Experience supporting facilities maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific, detailed operational instructions.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with operators, facilities staff, and other team members.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance tasks and priorities.

Work Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing environment with active production equipment and facility systems. The technician works around mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment, including air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, and cooling towers. The position may require standing, walking, and working in areas with noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures. Appropriate personal protective equipment and safety gear are required and must be used consistently. Work hours can include nights, weekends, variable shifts, and additional hours as necessary to support production and maintenance needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
