Role Description The Spec Technical Designer (Apparel) is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed technical packages, including measurements, construction details, and specifications for a variety of apparel categories. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and updating tech packs, collaborating with design and production teams, attending fittings, and documenting fit comments to ensure garments meet design intent and quality standards. The Spec Technical Designer will work closely with pattern makers and factories to resolve construction issues, improve fit consistency, and support on-time sample and production approvals. The role also involves monitoring production samples, communicating technical feedback to vendors, and maintaining organized records of specifications and revisions.

The Spec Technician will be responsible for measuring all incoming samples and prep for fittings alongside the tech designers.

Responsibilities:

- Measure proto, fit, PP and at times TOP/Bulk Pulls samples in a timing
- Spec garments, create and/or adjust the POM based on the garment.
- Will prep the specs/pictures into the Tech Packs as needed.
- Sketch detailed flats on illustrator/Excel.

Qualifications:

- Must have 2+ years of experience.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management skills.
- Strong understanding of pattern making and garment construction.
- Proficient in Excel & PLM
