Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will support the upkeep and repair of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) within a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks across various building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment.
- Use hand tools and electrical equipment to perform repairs and installations accurately and safely.
- Support the troubleshooting of electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Perform basic carpentry, painting, and facilities interior maintenance to uphold the aesthetic and functional quality of the environment.
- Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, and conducting routine inspections.
- Follow safety protocols when working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical equipment, or welding tools.
- Assist senior technicians with complex repairs involving HVAC system repair or electrical work as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to support maintenance activities effectively.
- Support maintenance painting projects to ensure facilities are visually appealing and well-kept.
- Contribute to customer service efforts by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and electrical equipment repair techniques.
- Familiarity with plumbing system maintenance and repair procedures.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including basic HVAC system repair skills.
- Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical issues safely in accordance with industry standards.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
- Ability to perform building interior maintenance tasks such as painting or carpentry as needed.
- Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices in a facilities environment preferred.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding, electrical work, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.
- Leadership qualities are desirable for future growth opportunities within the team.
