We are seeking a dependable and hands-on professional to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations and help ensure facilities, equipment, and systems remain safe, efficient, and reliable. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, coordinating work across teams, and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
- Supervise and support maintenance staff in completing daily work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Prioritize assignments to ensure timely response to facility and equipment issues.
- Monitor building systems, utilities, and equipment to identify repair needs and performance concerns.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to support maintenance and repair projects.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, inventory, and maintenance activities.
- Help establish and improve preventive maintenance programs and best practices.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with safety standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Assist with budgeting, parts procurement, and inventory control for maintenance supplies and tools.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues and support after-hours or emergency needs as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related technical field with previous leadership or supervisory responsibility.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or general building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, work orders, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate work effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Comfortable using maintenance management software, computers, and basic digital tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA or other workplace safety practices.
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, or small projects.
- Technical certification or trade training in a maintenance-related discipline.
