Position Overview:The IT System Administrator will support and participate in the planning, installation, maintenance, and operation of network and cloud servers, server operating systems, server software, storage systems, telephone and internet systems, backups, routers, switches, and wiring. In addition, the role will be responsible for some database and development duties.Reporting Relationship:The IT System Administrator reports to the IT Director.Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Responsible for the overall day to day performance of server systems including on-site and cloud server operating systems, and Windows local and Azure Active DirectoryResponsible for administration of server software updates/patches, including anti-virus and web-filtering servicesResponsible for the overall day to day performance of Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and Wireless Network in multiple facilitiesResponsible for troubleshooting system and network problems and optimizing performanceResponsible for the benchmarking, analysis, and continual optimization of system and network performanceResponsible for the security of the entire network, including intrusion prevention/detection and event/log managementResponsible for disaster recovery and business continuity network best practicesResponsible for the documentation of standards, processes and procedures of the networkPerform maintenance on all network related equipment as neededTrack problems and document resolutions related to network infrastructureRegularly review and remediate event and log entries from network devicesManaging all network related service and support, including maintenance and service agreementsResponsible for the purchasing of network related equipment and serversKeep up-to-date with technology in this fieldWork with IT Manager to provide data for annual budget planning, system usage and future IT planningBe cooperative, positive and respectful with management, coworkers and teamAdherence to all current, approved Information Security policies including appropriate handling of Confidential and Internal dataParticipate in annual Information Security training as well as topic specific training based on the sensitivity of data accessed.Aggressively seek out opportunities for company and self-improvementLearn and become proficient in IFS Developer Studio and IFS Build Place DevOpsAssist in other areas as assignedEnsure all safety policies are followed and hold a high regard for the safety of othersRequirements:Skills/KnowledgeAbility to work in an environment that will include changing priorities and emergency internal and external customer needsAble to effectively prioritize and multi-task on a daily basisAbility to take direction, communication and supervision from others and upper levels of managementExcellent communication and customer service skillsThrives on building and maintaining a professional rapport with all internal and external company-related interactionsInnovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve issuesAttention to detail and accuracy and exceptional organizational and follow-through skillsExperience working in the Microsoft 365 environmentWorking knowledge of database management and development toolsExperience working in Active DirectoryPersonal AttributesDemonstrates honesty, confidentiality, and integrity in work and relationshipsDemonstrates servant-based principles with internal and external customersDemonstrates innovation/creativity in workPossesses a strong work ethic and takes ownership of both company and client goals/objectivesFocused on collaboration and teamwork for the mutual success of the company and its employeesPosting Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology is preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted2+ years' experience in system and network administration1+ years' experience in database manipulation and use of development tools. Equivalent education may be substitutedSuperior working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeSuperior working knowledge of SSO and MFA technologiesExperience with networking infrastructure including routers and switches is a requirementTravel expectations:Occasional travel to other HM Cragg facilities as required
