About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Analyst to join a large-scale enterprise modernization initiative focused on transforming critical eligibility and enrollment systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-visibility projects involving mainframe modernization, cloud migration, integrated enterprise applications, and large-scale digital transformation efforts.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on testing professional with strong analytical skills, experience leading testing activities, and the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams. You will play a key role in ensuring quality throughout the software development lifecycle while supporting both legacy and cloud-based platforms.
This is a hybrid position with occasional onsite requirements for team collaboration, project meetings, and final interview stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements to develop a comprehensive testing strategy.
- Participate in requirements reviews, JAD sessions, technical walkthroughs, and stakeholder discussions.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify deficiencies in requirements, business rules, and testing approaches.
- Design, develop, and maintain functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test cases.
- Execute manual and automated test scenarios across enterprise web and mainframe applications.
- Validate system enhancements, releases, and production changes to ensure quality and compliance.
- Identify, document, track, and escalate defects through resolution.
- Participate in defect triage sessions and provide root cause analysis insights.
- Produce test documentation including test plans, execution results, metrics, and release summaries.
- Monitor testing progress and provide regular status reporting to project leadership.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and project managers.
- Support modernization and cloud migration initiatives by validating system functionality and integrations.
- Deliver high-quality results within established timelines and project objectives.
- Communicate effectively through written documentation, email, and virtual collaboration tools.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of Quality Assurance and Software Testing experience.
- Strong experience developing and executing functional, integration, regression, and system test cases.
- Proven ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
- Experience with defect management and test management tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale application implementations and releases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing IBM Mainframe applications and integrated enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud environments and cloud-based application testing.
- Understanding of Azure and modern cloud technologies.
- Experience with black-box, white-box, smoke, regression, and user acceptance testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance best practices and SDLC processes.
- Experience in healthcare, public sector, insurance, or highly regulated environments.
- Experience reviewing business requirements and collaborating with business analysts and subject matter experts.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel and Project experience.
