Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented professional to support the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our facility. In this role, you will help ensure that building systems, workspaces, and common areas are maintained to a high standard, creating a clean, safe, and efficient environment for employees, visitors, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of building interiors, exteriors, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Complete general repairs and preventative maintenance tasks across the facility.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and support the operation of building systems, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and safety equipment as assigned.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards.
  • Assist with setup, relocation, or adjustment of furniture, equipment, and fixtures as needed.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, or internal teams to support larger maintenance or repair projects.
  • Keep records of completed work, service requests, inspections, and supply usage.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report hazards, damages, or equipment concerns promptly.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in facility maintenance, general maintenance, or a similar role is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or building systems is an asset.
  • Ability to troubleshoot routine maintenance issues and perform minor repairs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform maintenance duties that may include standing, lifting, bending, and using tools or equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Familiarity with work order systems or maintenance tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
