We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented professional to support the upkeep, safety, and functionality of our facility. In this role, you will help ensure that building systems, workspaces, and common areas are maintained to a high standard, creating a clean, safe, and efficient environment for employees, visitors, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of building interiors, exteriors, and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Complete general repairs and preventative maintenance tasks across the facility.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and support the operation of building systems, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and safety equipment as assigned.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with setup, relocation, or adjustment of furniture, equipment, and fixtures as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, or internal teams to support larger maintenance or repair projects.
- Keep records of completed work, service requests, inspections, and supply usage.
- Follow all safety procedures and report hazards, damages, or equipment concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in facility maintenance, general maintenance, or a similar role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or building systems is an asset.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine maintenance issues and perform minor repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform maintenance duties that may include standing, lifting, bending, and using tools or equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with work order systems or maintenance tracking tools.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and compliance requirements.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
