Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our commercial healthcare facilities.
Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure that all spaces are hygienic, well-maintained, and meet sanitation standards.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and maintaining proper storage of cleaning supplies
- Conduct routine sanitation tasks including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and surface disinfection to uphold hygiene standards
- Operate cleaning machinery and tools efficiently while adhering to safety protocol guidelines
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies inventory, and safety checks for compliance and accountability
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and custodial equipment operation including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely by understanding chemical handling safety procedures
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while following safe lifting practices
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts
- Good communication skills
