The Role
The client is hiring Senior Full Stack Engineers to own core systems across the full stack — from backend services and data pipelines to the product surfaces operations teams use daily — with full production ownership.
Tech stack: Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, Temporal.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of professional software engineering, with a track record in high-growth, fast-paced environments (open to 3+ years for candidates with an exceptional top-50 university pedigree)
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript and React, able to architect complex state management for data-intensive applications
- Advanced PostgreSQL — schema design, indexing, query optimization
- A "builder" who prefers shipping over over-engineering, writes crisp requirements, and drives cross-functional delivery with minimal supervision
- Experience (or deep interest) integrating AI APIs and handling complex document-extraction workflows
- Energized by working shoulder-to-shoulder with founders in the SF office
Nice to Haves
- A founding or early-stage engineer on the resume — has built without scaffolding
- Production code on both Python/FastAPI and TypeScript/React (actually shipped, not "familiar with")
- AI API or document extraction in a real, live product
- Concept-to-production under startup timelines (e.g., "built X in N weeks")
- Held uptime during a scaling event, not just green-field builds
- Enterprise-adjacent exposure (security, compliance, data retention)
