UCT is looking for a talented Systems Engineer to join us in Chandler, AZ, Austin, TX or Hayward, CA!
Systems Engineer with extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise grade datacenter infrastructure, including but not limited to, virtualization, storage, and networking. The individual will possess strong data driven analytical, written and verbal communications skills, be comfortable presenting to audiences at the senior level, and thirve in a fast-paced, but rewarding technical environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Grasp contemporary technology and turn them into business solutions
- Design and implement enterprise grade information systems and technology.
- Manage and monitor multiple VMWare vCenter, Nutanix and other converged environments.
- Ensure assets are responsibly and properly managed through life cycle with optimal financial performance.
- Maintains overall system compliance with information security policies and procedures.
- Design, deploy, and test disaster recovery solutions for global centralized and decentralized applications.
- Manage Okta Identity Management platform for SSO and MFA
- Manage and oversee Office 365 enterprise tenant. Including but not limited to AzureAD, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint
- Manage Secure email gateway Mimecast and O365 ATP
- Management of Active Directory and it’s subcomponents – Group Policy, Sites and Services, DNS, etc
- Serves as technical subject matter expert for the resolution of issues related to private or hosted infrastructure.
- Works towards cost effective solutions and enhancements to optimize functionality within the system. Research options, performs cost benefit analysis, and develops written recommendations.
- Manages and tunes platforms to ensure expected availability, performance and security levels are achieved.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate tasks as needed.
- Monitor server and network uptime. Makes recommendations to improve faults as needed.
- Manage fleet of Windows servers
- Serve as escalation point to assist in troubleshooting of infrastructure issues.
- Works independently or as a team member for multiple infrastructure related projects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience managing VMWare vSphere including vcenter upgrades and migrations.
- Experience storage technologies to include iSCSI, FC, CIFS/SMB, NFS (HPE Nimble/HPE MSA a plus).
- Experience with Linux and Windows Server OS.
- Experience in scripting languages.
- Experience in AWS or Azure IaaS
Educational/Certification Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree or Masters degree in computer science, MIS, engineering, or a related field
- Technical certifications: VMware VCP, AWS Certified SA, Azure Administrator Associate
Experience Requirement:
Work Experience:
- Minimum 9 year experience working in System Administrator Information Technology roles
- Minimum 4 year exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP

Overnight Travel:
- Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
- Ability to travel to domestic and international UCT offices as needed
