Role - Microsoft 365 Architect
Location - Santa Clara Ca
Position Type- Contract
We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft 365 Architect to own and drive the end-to-end Microsoft 365 tenant architecture, including identity, security, compliance, governance, and Copilot readiness.
The role focuses on designing scalable, secure, and compliant M365 environments while enabling enterprise-wide adoption and digital transformation. The architect will also lead tenant assessments, licensing optimization, and define strategic roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, security teams, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-impact outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy
- Own and design Microsoft 365 tenant architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
- Define enterprise roadmap for M365 adoption, modernization, and Copilot readiness
- Conduct tenant assessments and recommend optimization strategies
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Define and implement governance frameworks, policies, and best practices
- Ensure compliance with security standards including Zero Trust principles
- Oversee data protection strategies including DLP, retention, and information protection
Solution Delivery
- Participate in planning, design, testing, and rollout of M365 solutions
- Lead end-to-end solution design using Microsoft 365 workloads (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
- Support large-scale transformation initiatives and migration programs
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into solutions
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program goals
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across project teams
Operations & Optimization
- Drive licensing strategy, cost optimization, and tenant configurations
- Monitor system health, performance, and adoption metrics
- Support documentation, validation, and knowledge transfer

Experience Required
- 5–12+ years of overall IT experience, with strong exposure to Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Proven experience in enterprise-scale M365 implementations or transformation projects
- Experience in designing secure, compliant, and scalable cloud-based collaboration platforms
- Prior experience working with global stakeholders and large distributed teams is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security/Compliance certifications)
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and automation solutions
- Exposure to hybrid environments and legacy modernization
