Job Description
Senior Cloud Network Engineer
\n
\n
Location: Remote (US) | Type: Full Time | Experience: 5+ years | Pay: $125K-$160K
\n
\n
About the Role
\n
We're hiring a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to design and build the network layer that lets enterprises actually run on AWS. You'll take connectivity from whiteboard to production: VPC architecture, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and the hybrid links that tie on-premises environments to the cloud without anyone noticing the seam.
\n
\n
You'll join the professional services team of a cloud consultancy that helps commercial and public sector organizations migrate, modernize, and operate on AWS. The work is hands-on and client-facing. You'll sit inside delivery teams alongside cloud engineers and architects, own the networking decisions on each engagement, and be the person clients trust when they ask what has to change on their side to make AWS connectivity work.
\n
\n
If you're the engineer who gets pulled in when the routing doesn't make sense or the migration plan skipped the network entirely, this role puts that skill at the center of the work.
\n
\n
What You'll Do
\n
- \n
- Design, implement, and tune AWS networking infrastructure that helps clients hit their business goals
- Deploy VPC resources, including subnets, network ACLs, and security groups
- Configure and troubleshoot Transit Gateway, VPC peering, and related interconnect services
- Stand up AWS Direct Connect and on-premises to AWS hybrid networking, then confirm connectivity end to end
- Bring enterprise networking know-how (BGP, Palo Alto, Cisco) to engagements where it matters
- Deploy, test, diagram, and document dev, pre-prod, and production environments at the network layer
- Turn on VPC flow logs, load balancer logging, and other visibility tooling so teams can see what's happening
- Use tagging and network usage data to support cost analysis and capacity planning
- Help shape migration plans for network connectivity and services moving from on-premises to AWS
- Advise clients on the changes needed on their side to support AWS connectivity
- Join daily delivery-team standups to work through dependencies and land implementation decisions

Qualifications
\n

- 5+ years working mostly in AWS cloud networking, with AWS work within the last 2 years
- 3+ years delivering network or cloud infrastructure solutions in a customer-facing role
- Strong working knowledge of AWS security practices as they apply to networking
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation)
- Experience working inside structured delivery, change management, and documentation processes
- Comfortable supporting multiple clients in parallel without dropping details
- Clear written and verbal communication, and solid time management

\n
\n
Nice to Have
\n
- \n
- Multi-cloud experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Network automation and scripting with Python, Bash, or Ansible
- Exposure to compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or FedRAMP
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty, or an AWS Associate certification (Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Administrator)
- Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCCSE, or PCNSE

Why Join Us
\n
You'll be part of a delivery team that cares about getting cloud infrastructure right, not just getting it live. Engineers here are expected to stay current, share what they learn, and act as trusted advisors to the clients they support. Transparency and responsiveness are part of how the team works day to day.
\n
\n
If you want a fully remote role where your networking depth shapes how real organizations move to AWS, this one is worth a look.
