EXPERIENCED MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of hands-on residential or commercial maintenance experience
- Basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills
- Ability to serve properties in Chardon, Newbury, Middlefield, and Chagrin Falls
- High school degree or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Bonus Criteria
- Technical certification or vocational training in a skilled trade (HVAC, electrical, building maintenance, etc.)
- 3+ years of progressive maintenance experience, preferably in public housing or multi-unit residential properties
- Proficiency with work order systems and property management software
WHAT WILL YOU DO AS OUR EXPERIENCED MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN?
- Work from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime available and an on-call schedule
- Complete scheduled maintenance, preventative services, and work order repairs in compliance with HUD regulations, local codes, and safety protocols
- Perform routine and non-routine repairs on electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
- Complete carpentry and drywall work
- Turnover vacant units (painting walls, cleaning spaces, ensuring compliance with quality standards, etc.)
- Inspect and maintain equipment (boilers, water heaters, smoke detectors, etc.) on schedule to prevent breakdowns
- Clearly document the work you perform
- Treat tenants professionally and their living spaces respectfully
- Assist with other responsibilities as needed
