About the Role We are seeking a Plan Writer to support chip failure analysis. You will draft initial plans for small, repetitive cache and logic failures using test results, circuit layouts, and guidance from senior engineers. What you will be doing:
- Analyze test data to locate the physical circuits associated with failures and develop initial failure analysis plans.
- Examine circuit designs and layouts to write clear instructions and task flows for the failure analysis team.
- Interpreting nanoprobing results and identifying subsequent failure analysis steps under senior engineer guidance.
- Handling chip units with fault isolation tools and collecting the data needed for debugging.
- Transporting dies from preparation labs to the debugging lab and assist senior engineers with equipment loading and unloading.
- Revising draft plans based on senior engineer feedback and follow established practices for high-volume, repetitive failures.
- As the scope expands, train in optical data collection and plan generation for additional failure types.
About YouRequired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with an understanding of device physics and circuit design.
- Practical experience working with electrical equipment.
- 5–7 years of relevant engineering experience to test data, circuit layouts, and failure analysis work.
- Ability to read nanoprobing data and use fault isolation tools to guide subsequent analysis.
