Overview
CTG is seeking to fill an AWS Cloud Developer position for our client.
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 5 months
Duties:

Design, develop, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications and services on AWS.

Develop serverless and containerized solutions using AWS Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and CloudWatch.

Build and integrate REST APIs and cloud-based application components.

Develop and maintain application code using Python, Java, Node.js/TypeScript, and/or .NET.

Implement automated unit testing and support application quality and reliability.

Develop and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with Terraform strongly preferred.

Support AWS infrastructure provisioning and configuration using CloudFormation and/or AWS CDK.
-
Use GitLab for source control, branching strategies, merge requests, approvals, protected branches, and tagging.

Troubleshoot application, cloud infrastructure, and integration issues and support continuous improvement of AWS solutions.
Skills:
-
AWS cloud development and cloud-native application development.
-
AWS Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/RDS, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and CloudWatch.

Python, Java, Node.js/TypeScript, and/or .NET.
-
REST API development and integration.

Unit testing and software development best practices.

Terraform, with CloudFormation and AWS CDK as additional experience.

GitLab, Git repositories, branching strategies, merge requests, approvals, protected branches, and tagging.

Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience:
-
4–6 years of professional experience in software development, cloud development, or a related technical field.

Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications and services in AWS.

Experience with serverless, containerized, and API-based application architectures.
-
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.

Experience with Git-based source control and GitLab development workflows.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
