Manufacturing Quality Assurance Coordinator - Dairy Science
Pay: $40.00 - $43.34 per hour
Schedule
Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator to support quality systems within a dairy manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring dairy products meet company specifications, food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience in dairy science, food manufacturing quality systems, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support daily quality assurance activities within a dairy processing and manufacturing facility.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and dairy product specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections, audits, environmental monitoring, and documentation reviews.
- Verify adherence to GMPs, HACCP plans, sanitation procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate product quality issues, non-conformances, and consumer complaints; assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain quality records, laboratory results, production documentation, and regulatory reports.
- Partner with production, operations, maintenance, and laboratory teams to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiencies.
- Support internal and external audits, including regulatory and customer audits.
- Monitor compliance with food safety programs and quality management systems.
- Assist with employee training on food safety, quality procedures, sanitation practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on product consistency, quality performance, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Dairy Science, Food Science, Microbiology, Animal Science, or a related field preferred.
- Previous Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience within dairy manufacturing, food processing, or beverage production required.
- Knowledge of dairy processing operations, food safety systems, and quality management programs.
- Experience with GMP, HACCP, SQF, USDA, FDA, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting inspections, audits, investigations, and corrective action programs.
- Ability to interpret specifications, laboratory data, production records, and technical reports.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with quality documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail.
