Software Engineer, Full-Stack (Consumption Team)
Job Description
Job DescriptionAbout the Role
This full-stack engineering role sits on the Consumption team at a fast-moving cloud computing startup, where you'll own the surfaces developers interact with most: billing, analytics, the web client, the CLI, and the public API portfolio. It's a high-impact position that directly shapes how customers understand and manage their usage of the platform.
What You'll Do
-
Build consumption tooling — reservation calculators, bid modeling, cost dashboards, and CLI extensions — to help developers make better decisions.
-
Ship customer-facing features across the full stack, including usage graphs, billing views, and reservation management UIs.
-
Own features end-to-end: from design through backend API, database migrations, and production monitoring.
-
Collaborate closely with the Platform team to map user requests to backend orchestration, including auction and reservation logic.
-
Build and maintain the billing engine and analytics products — the two most immediate priorities for this role.
-
Develop and maintain external-facing APIs, ensuring reliability, clear documentation, and a great developer experience.
-
Contribute to the CLI and web client that serve as the primary interfaces for customers.
What We're Looking For
-
3+ years of full-stack or backend engineering experience building and shipping user-facing features.
-
Demonstrated end-to-end feature ownership across backend systems and customer-facing interfaces (dashboards, APIs, or UIs).
-
Strong distributed systems foundations with experience building user-facing components such as dashboards, external UIs, or API surfaces.
-
Proficiency with TypeScript for frontend or full-stack development.
-
Background in big tech or a VC-backed startup environment.
-
Experience with marketplace, auction, billing, or exchange systems is a strong plus.
