Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a mid-size general contractor in the New York City area. The Project Engineer is responsible for providing support to the Project Managers and Superintendents and will assist in management of the overall project direction, completion and financial outcome. The Project Engineer must be flexible and an adaptable team player, as well as strong time management, communication, and technical skills.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize Bluebeam, Procore, and Smartsheet to assist with project completion.
- Assist in creating and modifying project schedules, providing additional insights on weekly guidance and rationale for contingencies.
- Join on-site reviews with contractors and clients to better understand scope and required coordination for a job.
- Reinforce communications of project milestones and schedules to foremen and other project participants.
- Aid in recognizing and resolving on-site challenges and issues.
- Assist with project close out.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction is required.
- Knowledge of construction industry including equipment, labor, means and methods.
- 5-10 years of construction experience working on complex projects.
- Prior MTA experience is required.
- Experience with Bluebeam and Procore.
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000
