CORE Realty Holdings is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team at Arbour Commons Apartments in Westminster, Colorado.
EPA Certification is required for this position. Qualified candidates should have extensive experience in apartment maintenance and be comfortable performing advanced HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general maintenance repairs while supporting the overall success of the maintenance team.
This role is ideal for a maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex repairs, leading by example, mentoring team members, and delivering exceptional service to our residents. The Senior Maintenance Technician serves as a key partner to the Maintenance Supervisor and plays an essential role in maintaining the property's appearance, safety, and operational performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced maintenance repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently while ensuring quality workmanship.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with daily operations, scheduling, and prioritization of work orders.
- Mentor and support Maintenance Technicians through coaching and hands-on training.
- Complete preventative maintenance, inspections, and apartment turns.
- Ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready according to company standards.
- Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the community.
- Accurately document completed work, inspections, and repairs using Maintenance IQ.
- Maintain an organized maintenance shop and assist with inventory management.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while interacting professionally with residents.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and CORE Realty Holdings policies and procedures.
Technology Expectations
The Senior Maintenance Technician is expected to actively utilize Maintenance IQ daily to:
- Manage work orders
- Complete inspections
- Document apartment turns
- Upload repair photos
- Track preventative maintenance
- Maintain accurate service records
Qualifications
- EPA Certification is required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
- HVAC Certification is strongly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule Requirements
This is a full-time position. Weekend availability is required, and candidates must be willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies. Reliability, flexibility, and a commitment to exceptional resident service are essential.
