About the Opportunity
An established industrial manufacturing company is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Machine Builder to join its growing team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys assembling custom equipment, solving mechanical challenges, and working in a hands-on manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in building high-quality equipment from the ground up while working alongside experienced technicians and engineers.

Responsibilities
- Assemble custom industrial machinery and equipment using mechanical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Install mechanical components including bearings, shafts, gearboxes, motors, linear guides, cylinders, and structural assemblies.
- Perform machine alignment, fitting, and adjustment to ensure proper operation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and bills of materials.
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues during assembly and recommend practical solutions.
- Assist with machine testing, startup, and final inspections prior to shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet production schedules.
- Accurately document completed work and report any material or assembly concerns.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in machine building, equipment assembly, maintenance, or a related mechanical field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly documentation.
- Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic components is preferred.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
