Job Description

Schedule:

Saturday & Sunday | 7AM - 3PM

We are seeking reliable and professional Security Officers to perform foot patrol duties at a shopping center. This is a customer-facing position that requires vigilance, responsiveness, and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular foot patrols to deter, detect and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.

Check in frequently with property tenants to ensure safety and address concerns.

Respond quickly to alarms and emergencies in accordance with site protocols.

Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.

Maintain detailed Activity Reports using a company issued cell phone.

Submit Incident reports and Maintenance requests as needed.

Requirements

Active Virginia DCJS Unarmed Security Registration (must be valid at time of interview).

Previous security experience preferred but not required.

Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.

Physically capable of walking and standing for extended periods.

Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Must have a working email address and cell phone.
