Janitor
Hamilton Nursing and Rehab | Detroit, MI
Hamilton Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dependable Janitor to join our skilled nursing facility in Detroit, Michigan.
The Janitor performs a variety of maintenance, light cleaning, and organizational duties to help ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors.
Shift

Full-Time; Day Shift - 3 days a week and every weekend
Responsibilities

Maintain the facility by performing repairs to walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, windows, and other building components

Remove trash and assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment throughout the facility

Move furniture and equipment as needed to complete maintenance assignments

Coordinate daily maintenance activities with nursing staff when working in resident care areas
-
Perform routine facility maintenance and repairs as assigned
-
Respond to unscheduled or emergency maintenance requests

Assist with maintaining facility grounds and common areas
-
Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are used safely and properly
-
Follow all facility safety, infection control, and maintenance procedures
Qualifications
-
Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, janitorial services, or a related field preferred
-
Familiarity with cleaning materials, maintenance equipment, and safety procedures
-
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Strong attention to detail and reliability
