What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to supervisors, site contacts, and/or public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report conditions that may need attention.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document arrivals, departures, incidents, and other security-related activity according to site guidelines.
- Support daily operations by observing the location for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, and provide clear, professional assistance during routine and emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
