Quality Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to lead a Quality Assurance team within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing quality processes, mentoring inspection personnel, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace quality systems, team leadership, and manufacturing quality assurance.

Compensation:
$81,000 - $91,000 annually DOE

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Location:
Auburn, WA

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop quality department personnel
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor workflow and productivity to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met
  • Manage attendance, performance, and policy compliance for direct reports
  • Provide coaching, corrective action, and performance feedback when necessary
  • Lead cross-functional quality initiatives and improvement projects
  • Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment
  • Track and report department performance metrics

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, contract requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Oversee inspection activities for raw materials, components, and finished products
  • Support and maintain AS9100 Quality Management System requirements
  • Lead and support AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) processes
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction
  • Review and improve quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation
  • Assist with prioritization of inspection activities to support production schedules
  • Promote a proactive quality-focused culture throughout the organization

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical training or coursework in blueprint reading and quality systems preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing quality assurance experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Experience in build-to-print manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 FAI, and aerospace quality standards
  • Proficient in GD&T interpretation per ANSI Y14.5
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, scales, and related inspection equipment
  • Familiarity with metrology and calibration processes
  • Basic understanding of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and/or laser scanning technology
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team-building abilities

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, and varying temperatures
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas
  • Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail required

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in compliance with U.S. Export Control regulations (ITAR). Qualified applicants must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee.
