Overview:

Semper Valens Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Facilities Maintenance Specialist (Painter) to support our organization in the Ft. Belvoir, VA area.

Qualifications

• Performs level‑5 drywall finishing suitable for low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) coatings.
• Applies Direct to Metal (DTM) paint to metal door jambs.
• Completes brush, roller, and spray‑painting assignments; determines appropriate paint color and consistency for each task.
• Selects paints based on plans and specifications; mixes pigments, thinners, and oils to achieve proper flow and smooth decorative finishes.
• Verifies masking and surface preparation prior to application; applies paint using appropriate materials and equipment to ensure even coverage.
• Applies finishes to wood, metal, and equipment in both interior and exterior environments using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Evaluates existing painted surfaces for damage and performs alterations, repairs, and maintenance on new and historical surfaces.
• Matches colors, shading, and textures of interior finishes as required.
• Trims, sands, and smooths surfaces using hand tools, caulk, sandpaper, and spackle knives.
• Follows all applicable safety rules and standard operating procedures; complies with OSHA regulations and uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 10 years experience
• Minimum of a Secret Clearance required
