Pay: $17–18/hr to Start
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
We are seeking a dependable and motivated General Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and facility support duties to help ensure equipment and building operations run smoothly and safely. The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building and facility maintenance repairs
- Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry tasks
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility issues in a timely manner
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Respond to maintenance requests and communicate updates to supervisors
- Follow all company safety procedures and regulations
- Work independently or with a team to complete daily maintenance tasks
Qualifications
- Previous general maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry repairs
- Ability to safely operate maintenance tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Must be dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and lift materials/equipment as needed
