As a Armed Security Officer Response Patrol in Boulder, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces to help support authorized entry, assist with crowd and passenger flow, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations.
- Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and preparing clear reports related to daily activities, incidents, and/or enforcement actions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 3 years of experience as Military Police, a Corrections Officer, or an armed security-related professional, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
- Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate Degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
