Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer Response Patrol in Boulder, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $28.15 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces to help support authorized entry, assist with crowd and passenger flow, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations.
  • Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and preparing clear reports related to daily activities, incidents, and/or enforcement actions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of experience as Military Police, a Corrections Officer, or an armed security-related professional, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate Degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
